Grenswerk Café events

Since July 2023, I’ve been working as a freelance designer for Grenswerk Café—a cultural meeting point in Venlo that brings together music, community, and creativity. I develop visual concepts that reflect the café’s mission and atmosphere, designing posters, flyers, digital promotions, and regularly creating content for online platforms.

The events at Grenswerk Café are highly diverse, ranging from intimate Valentine’s dinners to energetic club nights. Despite this variety, I ensure that all visual materials remain cohesive and recognizable, tailored to resonate with the café’s broad audience—music lovers, local residents, and everyone in between.

A key element of this project is maintaining a consistent visual identity that bridges the unique characters of both the café and the connected music venue. To achieve this, I use a blend of analog and digital techniques, allowing flexibility and authenticity in every design.

One of the recurring formats I create is Deze Week in het Café—a weekly overview of upcoming events presented as a visual agenda. Designed in line with the café’s house style, it ties in seamlessly with other visual elements such as the menu, which I also designed. This consistent look and feel strengthens the café’s identity and helps build a recognizable presence across both print and digital platforms.
